Alex Award for Adult Books with Special Appeal to Young Adults 

Best Books for Young Adults -Best book lists through 2010 from the Young Adult Library Services Association. 

Coretta Scott King Book Awards  - "The Coretta Scott King Book Awards are given annually to outstanding African American authors and illustrators of books for children and young adults that demonstrate an appreciation of African American culture and universal human values."

Freeman Book Awards - National Consortium for Teaching about Asia (NCTA), the Committee on Teaching about Asia (CTA) of the Association for Asian Studies (AAS), and Asia for Educators (AFE) at Columbia University sponsor the annual Freeman Book Awards for new young adult and children’s literature. The awards recognize quality books for children and young adults that contribute meaningfully to an understanding of East and Southeast Asia. Awards are given in two categories: Children’s and Young Adult on the several countries of East and Southeast Asia.

Great Graphic Novels - "Great Graphic Novels for Teens is a list of recommended graphic novels and illustrated nonfiction for those ages 12-18, prepared yearly by YALSA."

Michael L. Printz Award for Excellence in Young Adult Literature -

"The Michael L. Printz Award annually honors the best book written for teens, based entirely on its literary merit, each year."
