Are you interested in how things work? Does logical reasoning appeal to you? Would you like to solve problems? Build things? Be at the forefront of new developments? Have numerous career options? Take your thinking to a different level? If so, the Engineering Academy could be the place for you!
Our unique learning environment exposes learners to a wide variety of engineering fields, topics, and career paths. Infusion of engineering topics in English, math, science and social studies, helps you to make connections between engineering and real-world applications of concepts. You will benefit from engineering course content acquired from Project Lead the Way (PLTW) – a nationally recognized leader in the development of rigorous and relevant science, technology and engineering curricula.
PROGRAM FEATURES INCLUDE:
- Individual planning and support to assist students in identifying their school of interest and selecting appropriate engineering course and related electives
- Customized fields of studies and industry partnered projects within each school of study
- Infusion of engineering topics in English, Math, Science and Social Studies, helping students make connections between engineering and real-world applications of concepts
- Student elected board of advisors, acting as a liaison between the Engineering Academy students and the Academy Dean to help shape programs and activities.
